Before a video call, check your camera, sound and surroundings. Keep identifying details out of view, review the call rate and use the available exit, Report and Block controls if an interaction makes you uncomfortable.
Light in front of you. Face a window or a lamp. Light from behind turns you into a silhouette.
Camera at eye level. Prop your phone up so the lens is level with your eyes, a little more than an arm's length away.
Quiet room, clean background. Reduce background noise so speech is easier to hear.
Say hello first. A name and a question ("where are you tuning in from?") beats waiting in silence.
Keep it about the two of you. Do not rate the other person's looks or film them for a clip. Ask first, always.
Flip without guilt. If it is not your channel, Next is normal and expected, for both of you.
